About Shannon

I am married to the man of my dreams and I don’t remember life before him. I love being in love and I feel so lucky to have married someone who loves me as much as I love him.

I am a mother of four. They came to me after a struggle to get pregnant but they were oh so worth the wait and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Having a child means discovering unconditional love, a love like no other and I want to capture that beautiful essence in images. I have this thing for moody images and black and white photography. I also have a thing for dead trees. Don’t ask because I don’t know where it came from. If I see a tree and it intrigues me I have to stop and find out why. If I don’t I will obsess about it for hours and drive everyone in my life crazy. They will tell you it is much easier for me to stop and just pull out my camera.

I shoot digital and I shoot film. I love both equally and for different reasons. I love the organic and old fashioned look of film and I own more film cameras than I care to admit…my husband will tell you that I need a filmtervention. I love the clean and crisp look you can get with digital images. I don’t shoot for the money…I shoot for the love of shooting. I shoot to fulfill a need that must be met in me. I am a hobbyist who collects cameras and the beautiful images that come from them. I am an artist who’s passion for photography has to be filled.
